CHRISTMAS 2023 DELIVERY DATES 

For guaranteed Christmas delivery, orders for Europe must be placed by 20th December.

Please note: Due to a high volume of orders and the festive holidays please allow a little longer than our usual lead times for deliveries. Our distribution centre does not dispatch orders on Saturday, Sunday, or Bank Holidays.
For delivery before 25th December 2020, please ensure you place your order before 12pm (GMT) on the following dates:

We appreciate there has been a lot of confusion regarding the recent Brexit negotiations, and we want to ensure that you continue to enjoy your shopping experience with John Smedley free from concern.

Unfortunately at this time, this means that we are unable to allow orders to the following countries at present: Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia & Spain. This is something that we are working on to resolve, and we will be sure to let our customers know when we can accept orders again – we are extremely sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause.

For background, following the United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the European Union on the 01st January 2021, the UK becomes a non-EU country thereby when purchasing goods from a non-EU country a new Customs and Excise Duty in addition to Value Added Tax (VAT) charge will be applicable.

However, to ensure that we maintain our standards of service and you enjoy the same calibre of shopping experience, we will ship all EU orders with Duty and Taxes paid meaning there will be no unexpected additional charges to your order.

ADDRESS INFORMATION

We can deliver your goods to any address, whether your home, place of work or a friend's address. Please ensure you complete the desired delivery address during the checkout process.

Please note that for security reasons, all our deliveries are tracked and require a signature at point of delivery. If you are unable to accept the delivery, you will be left instructions on how to retrieve your parcel. Delivery dates are stated in UK Time and are subject to card security checks, stock availability and fulfilment by our courier service.


DHL INFORMATION

For guaranteed pre-Christmas delivery, international orders must be placed by 30th November 2022.

All our European deliveries are shipped via DHL using their Express Worldwide service. For International orders, delivery times will vary accordingly by destination. Generally delivery is within 3 - 5 days following despatch, although customers should allow up to 14 working days for goods to arrive after despatch from John Smedley. John Smedley asks international customers to note that we cannot be held responsible for delays in transit caused by customs and import procedures.

You are able to track your delivery by using the tracking number supplied on your order confirmation by visiting the DHL website at www.dhl.co.uk/en/express/tracking

In any event, if we cannot fulfil your order within 14 days of your payment we will notify you of this situation and you will be entitled to a refund if you do not wish to wait any longer for the goods.
