Designed by British Icon Bill Nighy in collaboration with our in-house design team, this cashmere and silk knitted polo shirt features the largest collar in John Smedley’s 241-year history. A luxurious alternative to the extra fine merino wool version within the Bill Nighy collection, this garment is the epitome of premium knitwear.
This luxury polo shirt has a shorter and boxier fit than our conventional polo shirts, meaning the body length is slightly shorter with a looser and more relaxed fit around the torso.
Designed to sit beautifully beneath tailored pieces such as suiting, the garment is equally impressive when worn alone for a smart casual attire.
Featuring Bill’s signature bird doodle (drawn on every script for decades) the polo shirt also has a distinctive wider rib detail to the placket and cuffs.
As the Creative Design team have control over the product specification, they can incorporate sustainability criteria in concept development and design stages. The team are already working on best practice derived from London College of Fashion and Kering knowledge.
