ABOUT THE COURSE:
Over this three day weaving course you will use native willow to make a beautiful and practical Ulster Potato Basket. This is a great course for beginners or anyone wishing to improve their willow basketmaking skills.
DATES: 6, 7, & 8 March 2020
VENUE: Isfield, near Lewes
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN: • How to prepare and select willow for weaving • How to make a frame • How to use split willow to make the ribs • How to make a symmetrical, balanced weave • How to finish your basket by ‘sewing’ the final weavers • How to attach double rod twisted handles

This is suitable for total beginners or anyone who has made some baskets but would like to improve their skills.
