Struthers Watchmaking, founded by husband and wife, Rebecca and Craig Struthers a partnership of master watchmaker and antiquarian horologist. Their family-run watchmaking studio combines their years of experience in vintage and antique watch restoration with award-winning design and research.

The couple try to dedicate as much time as possible in the workshop, however they’re also responsible for all of their social media, administration, PR and restoring & maintenance of their equipment.

In 2004, whilst training as watchmakers at the Birmingham Institute of Art and Design the Struthers met. Between them, they have studied and qualified in watchmaking, jewellery, silversmithing, fine art, gemmology and history of design; allowing them to apply their broad range of experiences to create a merge between heritage fine craftsmanship and 21st-century technology.

The Struthers say that the most rewarding aspect of their craftsmanship is the feeling of waking up with an idea and then having the skill set to make the idea a reality. They say that making things with your hands and transforming a seedling of an idea to a real object is one of the most rewarding things for any human being.

Orta in Midnight

Orta is our Italian fit roll neck pullover crafted in Extra Fine Merino Wool in a comfortable lightweight knit. The indicative feature of this style is its body shape, boasting a shorter body length and slimmer silhouette than our standard fit roll necks. Layer this style under a blazer to display a classic John Smedley look.

Hoxton in Navy

Take a classic approach to your knitwear this season with Hoxton. Crafted in chunky cotton, this timeless staple is cut to a comfortably loose fit and delicately finished with an open ribbed hem and ribbed cuffs. The relaxed fit means it can be layered over a blouse in colder climates or worn alone with slim fit trousers on milder days.
