An Ode to Woodlands took place at our Jermyn Street Store on the 7th October 2019.
Hosted by our QEST Scholar Daniel Harrison – Furniture Maker and Rémy Martin.
Based in Swansea, South Wales, Daniel Harrison is a designer-maker of bespoke furniture creating free-standing and fitted pieces. He has been commissioned to create other work including large sculptural carvings, staircases, fine boxes and other products made using locally sourced sustainable woods.
Guests to ‘An Ode to Woodlands’ were treated to a panel discussion all about Daniel’s craftsmanship, alongside a sensory experience and cognac tasting from Rémy Martin.
Rémy Martin is a French firm that primarily produces and sells cognac; originally founded in 1724 and based in the city of Cognac.
Cognac is a spirit made from fruit; in the case of cognac the fruit is exclusively grapes grown in the Cognac region of France.
