John Smedley is proud to announce a limited edition capsule collaboration with Comme des  Garçons. Limited to  just 33 garments at Brook Street, each of the three Spring styles are colour-dyed in Japan by Comme des Garçons and spun in super-fine merino wool at John Smedley’s Derbyshire mill.

The range includes a deep v-neck cardigan and short-sleeved shirt, alongside John Smedley’s iconic three-button ‘Dorset’ shirt. The three styles are each available in three shades of blue; midnight, royal and azure. A light contrast stitching creates subtle detailing.

Twenty Truths Triumph

We thought we would share our latest window display from Brook Street as we are delighted with compliments from www.retailstorewindows.com. Our most recent installation features our Twenty Truths marketing campaign. The window features all twenty truths, each truth mounted on fibre mesh with an image relating to each truth, behind. This highlights and magnifies each truth reinforcing the theme of focusing on the quality and attention to detail that goes into each garment. Keep your eyes peeled, as there is further work on the window this week and we will keep you up to date with photos. We can’t thank the Lift Agency enough for their work on our windows and creating exciting displays that truly compliment our knitwear

G”love” It!

It’s freezing and Lea Mills looked absolutely beautiful this morning. The hills were dusted with frost and everything had a certain calm and stillness. One thing is for sure, winter is definately on the way and with it comes a sneek peak of the window display at our Flagship store on Brook Street.

We are over the moon with our glove Christmas tree and the staff in store have been struggling to keep their hands off. Our twinkly window display is decorated with clusters of baubles in sumptous tones of caramels, chocolate and charcoal. The gloves were knitted here in Matlock in various shades of green and sizes to create the prefect glove tree!

The rustle of Christmas is certainly upon us, with Christmas lights sparkling above and the jingle of Santa’s bells approaching. If you haven’t already had a chance to see the store, it’s definately worth a visit and you might be able to start some Christmas shopping whilst you’re down there too!
