Held between the 8th March – 7th April 2013, Format is an international photography festival that presents a selection of some of the finest emerging talents in photography. Founded in 2004, the festival has grown from strength to strength and the theme for this years festival is factory. Ok, so I’m pretty much on my own in the office when it comes to my obsession with One Direction but I couldn’t help but draw parallels with our Autumn / Winter 2013 Collection and the boys look in their video ‘Kiss You’. We gave you a sneak peek of the new collection which we showcased at London Collections: Men earlier this year. Our fair isle inspired knits, roll collars and long johns were highlighted as key knitwear pieces for the forthcoming season and I can personally say I’m a massive fan of the look!!

As the summer comes to an end and the nights begin to draw in, here is a little reflection on the summer months. Last weekend I was at Bestival and it was the perfect way to end the summer. Located on the Isle of Wight, headline acts this year included Stevie Wonder, Florence and the Machine and New Order. The theme this year was wildlife and there were some absolutely amazing costumes. Here are a few photo’s from the weekend, the weather was glorious and the atmosphere incredible. Personal highlights included The XX, Florence and the Machine and Jessie Ware – amazing!

A fantastic group made up of four guys from Chesterfield. The North are a Psychedelic / Indie Rock & Roll band that have been likened to The Stone Roses and The Beatles. The photo’s seen below were taken around the Mills, here in Matlock – The North have fantastic taste in their knitwear and looked super smart in John Smedley. Their next gig is this Friday 18th May 2012 at Ryan’s Bar in Derby with subsequent gigs in Doncaster, Sheffield and Chesterfield. Their debut EP, Lawful Bullet is out now.
